Diploma in Counselling - University of the West of England (level 6 qualification BACP accreditated)

Certificate in Counselling - University of the West of England

As a qualified counsellor I work integratively and relationally using Person Centered, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Attachment theoretical modalities in my practice. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)and I adhere to the associations professional Code of Ethics and I have professional indemnity insurance.

Experience

I have a diverse range of experience working with both adults and young people in private practice, secondary education environments and in a charitable organisations.

I work with adolescents (11-18 year olds) at Secondary Schools in South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire. and in my private practice both adolescents and adults, offering both short and long term counselling.

I have also worked with patients who have a life limiting/threatening illness, including cancer, throughout their journey this can be onto survivorship or through to end of life.

I previously worked at Cotswold Counselling, Cirencester working with adults in both short and long term counselling.

I have experience of working with clients with a variety of presenting problems and I list below these. I work integratively and relationally which means I use a variety of counselling modalities. This way of working is helpful and effective for the client as it allows the counsellor to adapt the counselling session to meet the clients needs.
